Welcome back everyone, and am sorry for any inconvenience caused during the update process. BUT! as you can see, the forum has been updated, latest of "almost" everything ;) ...Am glad nothing was lost during the update, as it involved manual PHP editing and SQL injections -_-; which explains why it took more than 4 hours to complete.

Now, if you're a bit lost in finding your way around the forum, let me assure you that a vast wave of exploration is awaiting you :) ...some of the new features are currently disabled until further notice. Other than that; it's all good ^^

So, i hope you enjoy the new accommodation, and please, if you can! donate an help keeping this place alive.

Thank you

P.S. it's 4:30AM here in Malaysia, my bed is shouting my name. Catch you all later.
P.S.S. If you have any suggestion, or you see something which you don't like or don't feel comfortable with, please let us know.
P.S.S.S. I hope the current forum width will fit perfectly on most of your monitors.

Hey Dan, I'm not sure I like the idea of the shoutbox being on every page. Also how do we access watched topics now? Furthermore where's my "XD" emote? Other than that the updates seem fine, but you can be sure I'll let you know if anything else irks me. Cheers!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I like the icons for: Raptr, Steam, Evolve, etc. on the side of posts - BUT they should be horizontal, not vertically!

Agreed on the IM icons being more tidy while arranged horizontally, especially since their numbers fit the user space well enough.

About the shoutbox being on all pages, I'm still on the fence with that :)

There are a few kinks that need to be sorted out, like animated avatars and those emote libraries.

I like the style in general. It could use a few small touches, but it's a great design. Is it a theme you got somewhere, or something you made?

AFAIK, it's part of the new version of the forum, although more themes are going to be added, just like we had a few available on the older forum.

/agree, however there didn't seem to be any straightforward way of doing such a thing. Maybe some manual editing might be able to fix that though if at all :)

hahahaha, i wanted to actually add one to the emote gallery, but unfortunately IPB doesn't have the XD :( ...so i'll just make one and upload it lol...ya, the shoutbox major placement is just experimental for now...as for the watched topics, am still trying to find my way to it -_-;

the thing abt adjust items horizontally or vertically is that most of them are actually hard coded into the template, which means more messing around to do :wallbash: but i'll look into that ;) ...as for the avatars, i think as before! a reupload is required :(

it's a theme, customizations are on the way though ;)

ya, if you guys don't like having that purple-ish background, you can change it to any back you want, or just blank ...next to the "View new content" test at the top bar, on the right is the background changer, so you can upload the url, and it'll be set just for you ;)

Hmm, maybe expanding the info might work? Like before the Service name then the username looked alright, but the icons being shown looks cool too. Maybe something like "[icon] Username" might work?

this applies to the game tags so you mean like (icon>username) ...is it?

Well before the tags were being shown like:

Evolve: Espionage724
Steam: Espionage

No icons at all before. Now it's just the icon. I was thinking what if it showed like:

(Evolve icon) Espionage724
(Steam icon) Espionage724

That way, it takes a tiny bit more space, and looks a bit better then just the icon by itself

Edit: Also it seems you can't link icons in posts lol (it told me it was not allowed in this community). I doubt many people would need to link icons though

that does look nice :P ...and it would seem there's still some settings to be edited regarding permissions :/

Fair enough guys.
Oh and the shoutbox seems to be lagging my browser when I have multiple 9XX tabs open.
..and I quite like the purple!

Right now I'm using the "Intel" blue background :P But I'll have to scour for a nifty background, and if I find any that's awesome, I'll surely post it here :)

BTW, good call on having the shoutbox on index alone. I like it mainly because of the height saved that allows me to see unread threads more easily. But that's just me.

Oh and we seemingly have a thanks system that shows in posts rather than a reputation one, I know the rep is still viewable in our profiles and all; but what is the point of having two systems?

Hmm, I notice that posts with likes show the likes under them, and then on the user-area on posts (where it has the avatar, username, gametags, etc), it has a Thanked counter, and then I notice on profiles a green box that has a number which counts how many likes the user has. On that note though, what are "likes" ? or is that the reputation system?

The like system appears to have replaced the old reputation system, except that I swear you could take away points before as well, not that that is a great loss. Though it still doesn't explain the thanks system you know?

the problem is, the "thanx" button/plugin is outdated, and that's why it doesn't appear here, so instead; there's a "like" button instead of the old reputation (+ or -) ...and you can see that when you like a post by a user, the "Thanked" counter stays the same :( ...so i disabled the like feature, and will soon bring back the "thank" as soon as it's updated ;)
